Here's a few pictures including one of my little 'Jazz' from 12 weeks in
the summer of 2004. She's a Standard Schnauzer and a real joy,
even if she can be somewhat overactive at times! I've added more
pictures of her now as well. One taken in April
2006 on our daily morning walk in the woods.
There are
photos from various performances including the Ottawa Jazz Festival -
our Mulligan concert photos from 2010 are on the 'Gerry Mulligan' page.
While there are
several pictures from Alternate Takes 2003 performance at the Ottawa International
Jazz Festival, sadly, I have no pictures from 2004. I've added a
couple of photos from the 2005 festival. Alternate Takes performed
at the World Exchange Plaza for a noon concert on one of the hottest
days of the summer. The audience had a great time, though, while
sitting in the shade of trees and umbrella-topped tables.
Alternate Takes performed again in 2006 and 2007 for our fourth and
fifth years. Alternate Takes is back rehearsing with lots
of new material.
Beginning in 2005, the trio and quartet have been very busy. I've included a photo from a private party that we played at the Cafe
at the Museum of Civilization. Paul [b], Derek [p] and I played on
the patio on a beautiful August evening. The patio at the Cafe
presents a view across the Ottawa River to the Parliament buildings - a
wonderful setting. There also is a picture is from the 2006 New
Years eve party at Eighteen. 2006 was a great year and while I
have few photos from private gigs, we have played at many wedding
receptions as well as private parties and functions. I have posted a couple of pictures of
my
10-piece dance band 'Acoustic Flight' on wedding reception bookings.
I've included the picture of Mt. Rundle, just outside Banff, Alberta,
just to remind me of what a great time my wife [Gail] and I had when we lived
in Calgary. I miss the mountains and the 'mountains' here in the
east don't quite measure up! [even though I grew up here in the east]
I'll change these from time to time and add new photos from current
gigs when available.
