Thanks for visiting my web site.  I am an Ottawa-based jazz musician.  I play saxophone - alto, baritone, soprano and tenor - in my own trio, quartet and quintet groupings.  The quartet and trio are profiled on The Jazz Page [click the button to the left].  If you are looking for a band for a great dance, I can provide a 6-piece dance band, East Side Sextet, for smaller events where you would like your guests the opportunity to dance the night away to a great blend of jazz and pop/rock/Latin tunes.

From wedding music, corporate receptions, conferences, gala balls to private party celebrations - live music is best.  I can provide the appropriate sized group for your live music needs.

The quartet completed a recording of a mini cd to demo original tunes late in 2008.

I've posted information on 'The Jazz Page' about the cd including how to get a copy.

Our tunes have been picked up for airplay at OutboundMusic.com on their jazz channel.  Check it out and perhaps you'll hear one of our tunes.  Click the button below to load up the channel.

We are also getting great airplay from other radio streaming sources as well including tunes recently picked up by  mvyradio.com in Martha's Vineyard and the 'UptownJazzNetwork' in North Carolina and - MusicToGoUSA.com

We are now also on - Indie104 - iRADIO LA, voted as the first "Internet Radio Station Of The Year" by New Music Weekly Magazine, is the world's first and most popular Independent Radio station, playing 100% original music by unsigned bands 24/7/365. Since 1998, iRADIO LA has broken the sound barriers with stellar programming that quenches the world's thirst for great new music.

Tunes also playing here - BandRadio is an innovative 24-hour streaming radio station

And for something completely different

ACOUSTIC FRONTIERS is a radio program that airs music from the realm of electro acoustic, acousmatic and computer processed sounds

Each Monday at 1 pm until 2:30pm I host/produce Acoustic Frontiers on CKCU FM, 93.1 fm in Ottawa and on the internet at CKCUFM.com   For a very different radio experience, tune in and have a listen to electroacoustic and computer-based sounds that cutting edge composers have been creating since the mid-1900's.

If you are looking for jazz events in the Ottawa area, a great web site you should check out is The Ottawa Jazz Scene - just click the link to go there.

Currently I'm on baritone with a couple of big bands including the Heart and Soul big band.   Heart and Soul is a terrific big band if you are looking for the big, full sound of an 18-piece jazz dance band that also has lots of pop/rock tunes in the repertoire.

I'm also active with a few other things as you will see while wandering through this site.  On the Model Railway page, I'll be placing some pictures of my HO layout as it [slowly] develops.

You are welcome to have a look at the photos page.  I'll be adding and changing from time to time as new photos become available.

Perhaps you would consider making a loan - no, not to me ! - but if you are not familiar with  KIVA .ORG  click here to go to their web site and read all about their work in underdeveloped areas.  They facilitate people like you and me lending money to an amazing variety of people running micro businesses.  They also have an amazing repayment record and your loans will only be in small amounts to any one borrower.  Please check it out and consider lending some money to people who really don't have much but would like to be better off and are prepared to work hard to achieve that.
